Endhiran Audio Poster

What with Shankar’s magnum opus sci-fi flick Endhiran touted to hit the screens in the first week of September, internet is abuzz with speculations about the impending audio release. Latest in the series is a poster announcing the audio launch of the movie. Earlier reports suggested that the audio release will be held in Malaysia and the poster also reiterates that the venue would be PICC, Putrajaya, Malaysia on July 31, 2010. However, no official announcement is heard from the SUN Pictures stable as yet about the audio event to corroborate this.

Oscar winner Rahman has scored for Endhiran whose latest release Raavanan became a rage among music lovers in Hindi and Tamil.

‘Endhiran’ on September 3rd

Even as news about Shankar's approval to direct the Tamil, Telugu remakes of Hindi ‘3 Idiots’ is still raging there was some media reports that hinted his ambitious Rajinikanth film ‘Endhiran’ may not be released in August as told by the super star himself. News floating today is almost confirming it. The new release date for ‘Endhiran’ could be September 3 according to some sources in Shankar's office. Though there is no reason given for the postponement, it may be due to the enormous number of prints that will be generated for a worldwide release. In India alone ‘Endhiran’ is expected to strike 800 screens across the country. Japan and Chine will get 120 prints and for other global markets 160 prints are expected to fly. That means ‘Endhiran’ will have around 1500 prints in release and that will make it one of the biggest films of the world ever.

Think Music snaps up Endhiran

The Chennai based Think Music has snapped the audio rights of the most
prestigious big budget Tamil film ever.

We are talking of Sun Pictures magnum opus*Endhiran* directed by Shankar,
featuring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai, with music by AR Rahman.
There was a fierce bidding war for the audio rights between Think Music and
Sony Music. Finally Think Music quoted a new record for audio in South India
and is rumoured to have paid a whopping Rs 7 Crore for Tamil and Telugu
rights!
This is the highest ever paid for an audio in south Indian film history, a
price almost on par with recent Bollywood music acquisitions. Any which way
you look, it's a fantastic buy, and overnight Think Music becomes the
biggest brand in south India.

‘Endhiran’ music label under wrap

The shooting of ‘Endhiran’ is complete last week and good news followed soon from Shankar. AR Rahman has handed over the final mix of the songs and they have come great. Now all the eyes and ears of fans are on the music launch which is happening in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia. But with just two weeks before the official launch of the music it is still not revealed which music label will release ‘Endhiran’ songs. But our sources say the audio rights of ‘Endhiran’ have been sold in the whopping range of around Rs. 7 crores. Even the fiery music ‘Raavanan’ was sold at a much lower price. The massive price given to ‘Endhiran’ music rights is a new benchmark in south Indian film industry. The audio of ‘Endhiran’ will be released in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in a never before star studded event on July 31 this year.

Shankar at Final Day Of Endhiran Shooting

Hi Everyone,
Happy to say that the whole Endhiran shoot is wrapped on 7th July with the shooting of the song sung by AR Rahman, choreographed by Remo at Sun Studios. It was a very very happy moment for everyone. I think this is the first film where I am doing the pumpkin breaking pooja (poosanika udaikiradhu) with the lead stars Rajnikanth & Aishwarya Rai.

Everyone had this feeling similar to a cricket last over…. like a 2 year college wrapping day where you feel very happy & also with a heavy heart … I am amused when I see the same feelings in everyone….

Our producer Mr. Kalanithi Maran gave a big party on July 9th for the crew. In the presence of our honorable Central minister Mr. Dayanidhi Maran, I attended the party along with Rajni sir, DOP Rathnavelu, Resul Pookutty, Editor Antony & my crew. We shared all the interesting stories related to the making of the film with Mr. Maran. It was a memorable day for all of us….

A good news… Yesterday morning Rahman gave the tamil songs final mix master to us… it is amazing…rocking, sounding as big & grand as the budget of the movie. The first song clearly indicates that our AR Rahman is an Oscar winner. I hope once again our combination lives up to your expectation levels. And we are planning to release the audio in this month end.
