Shankar and Rajini unable to do it!

News and stills about Endhiran is making way to the media though director Shankar is cleverly trying to conceal the news and the click shots of the shooting in progress. Though Shankar was well aware from the day he commenced this project that its lead stars – Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – would attract the media attention, no matter what.

Endhiran

Shankar, it is said, has been keeping the shooting schedules and spot under wraps after stills from their Peru and Goa shooting made it to the press. The Chennaiites recently spotted the unit shooting some scenes in areas like Fort, Ennore Port, Adayar etc. And within the next few days, the team was seen in the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. Very recently, the stills from the SSN College campus made way to the press. Looks like Shankar and Rajini are working hard on having their schedule under wraps and by changing the shooting spots rapidly. Probably this is due to the fear of leakage of stills. There is also news that the Endhiran team may shoot some scenes in Kulu and Manali but it is not clear when.

Endhiran' stills leaked once again

No matter how big a dam director Shankar builds to maintain
secrecy with his projects, leaks are happening on a consistent
basis. About five fresh stills of the Rajinikanth – Aishwarya
starrer 'Endhiran' surfaced on the web recently.

Despite heavy security at shooting spots and with a clear
emphasis not to allow even mobile phones on the sets,
Shankar and his team want to entertain audiences with
the stunning element especially because of huge production
costs and standards involved.

The 'leak' is sure to have director Shankar and team fuming
because they give out the feel of how the film is being stylized.

It's high time the 'Endhiran' team finds out as to who the
'black sheep' is and plugs the hole through which the leaks
are happening on a consistent basis. Common sense says it has
to be an 'inside job'.

As far as the general public is concerned 'curiosity will get
the cat' eventually and that cannot be taken as entertaining
the 'leak'.

'Endhiran' stars Rajinikanth in two roles. One as a
Robotic Scientist and another as a Robot. What happens when the
robot gets a mind of its own and starts acting against its creator
(including his love life) form the story. This futuristic story
was written by the late Tamil writer Sujatha Rangarajan.

'Endhiran' has a lot of international talent working for it
and is slated for a 2010 release. A. R. Rahman is the music director
of the film.

Rajni and Ash in a glass chamber

The Rajnikanth starrer Endhiran, which has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as his lead pair, is being produced by Sun Pictures on a whopping budget of Rs. 140 crores. Endhiran's director Shankar, known for his penchant for creating extravagant sets in his films, has erected a huge glass chamber to can just a few scenes of a duet. Sources close to the Endhiran unit
Endhiran
say that it is impossible for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajni to stay in the glass chamber for a long time and hence only a very few shots will be picturised in it and not the entire song sequence. The necessity to erect such an extravagant set is to enhance the visual effect, it is said

Rajinikanth to bash up Danny Denzongpa in 'Endhiran'

The guessing game is finally over. Sun Pictures' Endhiran, which features Ranikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles, would have popular Bollywood actor Danny Denzongpa playing the baddie.

The shooting of the film, directed by Shankar, was on at a brisk phase in Vellore, where some important scenes featuring Rajini and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were being shot. It is learnt that Denzongpa will soon join the unit.

Endhiran' crew mobbed in Vellore

Several thousand people gathered in large numbers at a private engineering college where Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai were shooting for 'Endhiran', a movie being directed by Shankar and produced by Sun Pictures.

The much-awaited film being made at a huge cost, 'Endhiran' went to floors a couple of months ago. The movie was shot in Peru and adjoining countries besides a few portions in Goa.

At Vellore on Sunday, scenes involving a cultural festival in the college were shot. Rajinikanth appeared as scientist and Aishwarya Rai as college student. Security was tight in and around the place and only students and faculty of the college with identity cards were allowed inside the premises. General public were blocked a few meters away by the police.

It may be recalled that Shankar and Rajinikanth had shot at the same place for their previous venture Sivaji.

Shankar finds Rajini's villain!

It is well known that the Rajini-starrer Endhiran's shooting is progressing at a breakneck speed to facilitate a release by the end of this year. The film also stars the former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Director Shankar did not disclose the villain for this movie and kept it a closely guarded secret. But now our sources from Kollywood say that the
Endhiran

Bollywood actor Danny Denzongpa is the baddie in Endhiran. Danny Denzongpa shot to fame after his role in the Hindi film Qurbani became a huge hit.

Yet another source close to the Endhiran team says that the unit is camping at a private engineering college near Chennai to can a few scenes that has both Rajinikanth and Aishwarya. Only the college students and staff are allowed inside the college to maintain privacy of the unit, our source adds.

Endhiran Shooting Stills Leaked From Vellore

Paparazzi doesn't let Rajini & Ash alone!

The Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran is progressing very well amidst mounting expectations. Ever since the film commenced, the entire Indian film industry is keen watching the developments. To make matters even interesting, Endhiran has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starring opposite the Superstar.
Endhiran

Only recently, the production rights of this film were purchased by Sun Pictures from the original producers Eros International and Ayngaran. Being a mega budget film, the producers and director Shankar wanted every bit of privacy during the film shoot and they also took extra care to ensure the photos from the shooting are not leaked out. But with the latest technology rearing its ugly head we saw a few of the photos shot during the Endhiran shooting in Peru and Goa find its way to the internet. To top all this, the local paparazzi in Vellore have shot a few stills while the film unit was busy shooting at the Vellore Institute of Technology. Shankar naturally is fuming over this and is now said to working out a new strategy to prevent such things in future.

Yogi B sings for 'Endhiran'

Singer Yogi B who has made his presence felt in the Tamil film industry with some spectacular songs, has been roped in to sing a song for the mammoth production 'Endhiran' that stars superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

A. R. Rahman who is the music director of the film has confirmed to Indiaglitz that Yogi B has indeed sung a song for the film. Moreover, he added that the Malaysian singer was in his studio a while back with regards to Endhiran. A. R. Rahman was working for the Aamir Khan starrer 'Ghajini' at that time. Though Yogi B was there was Endhiran, his services were used for a background score 'Run' that features in 'Ghajini'.

Everything about 'Endhiran' is shrouded with complete secrecy as is the case with every Shankar film. 'Endhiran' produced by Sun Pictures will be ready for release in 2010.

Shankar is Genius

Robot Shanker, the maker of a huge film ENDHIRAN on terms of budget, is said to be thinking above the imaginations of the Hollywood directors. Till now the film audiences who are World wide have witnessed films of robots and their positive and negative deeds. But, one can never imagine a robot producing its off spring which looks a bit unbelievable act act.

But the thinking wizard Shanker has churned out the unbelievable and has made a happy note out of it. Recently, some scenes relating to the story were canned in Vellore institute of technology and one such scene was poised to be seen as a Robotic reproduction for which Rajinikanth plays a scientist part surveying the whole process.

According to sources, the whole till date scenes were showed to the producer and the producer Kalanithi Maran was said to be happy with the outcome. But while watching the scenes, director shanker was dissatisfied by some sequences and has decided to re-shoot them again.

Robotic reproduction in Endhiran

A key scene of Endhiran was shot recently at the Vellore Institute of Technology. In the scene, a large number of people along with Rajini were seen standing expectantly in front of a giant screen and then suddenly erupting into applause. The scene was reminiscent to the expression of joy that was seen in the
Rajini
ISRO offices after the successful launch of Chandrayan.

If you remember, Endhiran has Rajinikanth playing a scientist. In a scene that followed, Rajini was seen briefing the press and telling them that this was the first time that a robot had produced an offspring and this was most certainly one of the landmarks of science.

Robotic reproduction is something that has not been imagined even in Hollywood which churns out futuristic sci-fis every year. All credit to Shankar and the late Sujatha for this out of the world idea.

After completing the schedule at Vellore, the Endhiran unit is set to move to Kulu Manali for the next schedule.

Endhiran' – from Kollywood to Hollywood

Enthiran Gallery

Sun Pictures is all set to make director Shankar's dream of making it to Hollywood come true. It's on the verge of a tie-up with HBO which will see' Endhiran' being released in the West simultaneously.

'Endhiran' will be subtitled in English and released in Hollywood simultaneously, making it the biggest opening for the film industry. Rajinikanth's 'Sivaji' had raked in good money overseas and has made things easier for Shankar.

With promotion in full swing, the film is progressing well after having suffered due to the recent cyclone in Chennai. The crew is about to finish the shoot at VIT University College in Vellore. The next stop is Top Slip and Valparai and the crew will then move to Kulu Manali next year.

Meanwhile there are reports that say that a Benz car has been purchased for the film at a whopping cost of 90 lakhs. According to reports an important scene feautring Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai will be shot in a brand new high-end Benz car.

Superstar Rajinikanth is also said to be working out with a rigorous schedule, to fit the role of a scientist and a robot (the actor plays two roles in the film), and also to look slim fit enough to romance Aishwarya Rai.

Endhiran to be re-shot!

The portions of Endhiran which have been shot were recently screened for Kalanithi Maran. The producer is reportedly very happy with the way the scenes have come out and is said to have wholeheartedly praised director Shankar for the richness in every frame.

However, the perfectionist that he is, Shankar has seen some scope for
Endhiran
improvement and has decided to re-shoot some of the scenes. With the producer already very happy with what has been made, only a director of Shankar’s quality would have been ready to put even more effort to make the movie better.
